Hello, I'm Abigail, a 22-year-old Northern journalist and reporter with a First-Class Honours degree in Journalism from Leeds Beckett University.
I’m passionate about breaking news, the UK Political landscape and pride myself on bringing depth, balance, and creativity to every story I work on.
Originally from Rotherham in South Yorkshire, I am proud of my working-class background and the perspective it brings to my journalism. I strongly believe the media should reflect the communities it serves, and I’m passionate about helping open the industry to people from a wider range of backgrounds.
So far, I have gained hands-on experience across television, radio, digital and print, developing strong editorial judgement and a sharp instinct for the stories that matter to everyday people.
I’m most at home working in broadcast environments, whether that’s behind the camera, reporting on screen or editing a finished piece. I am confident self-shooting, presenting and editing, and I am a little bit of an adrenaline junkie when it comes to the fast-paced nature of news.
